Applied Sciences Group, Inc. is awarded $270k Federal Contract from the VA March 22, 2010: Applied Sciences Group Inc. has been awarded a $270,582 federal contract from the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) to develop an Augmented Communications Network for Spinal Cord Injury Veterans at the Community Living Center in Tampa, Florida. ASG and Talker Inc. are partners in making the University’s Talker speech generating software available to the speech impaired. The Talker software will be integrated with a wireless communications solution that will enable paraplegic, quadriplegic and non-verbal Veterans to communicate with center staff and each other within the Community Living Center Community.
