Project Description:
Applied Sciences Group was contracted by an ozone generation equipment manufacturer to design and integrate a control system hardware and software solution to automate several water purification plants. Ozone generators turn liquid oxygen into ozone, which is used for water purification, after which it is reclaimed and destroyed.

Approach:
Applied Sciences Group developed control panels consisting of Modicon PLCs to control the ozone generation and the ozone destruct units. Applied Sciences Group also developed a GUI (graphical user interface) and data acquisition system using Intellution FIX32 software to automate this system.
