Project Description:
Applied Sciences Group developed a Visual BASIC operator interface for control and data acquisition of a 9 temperature zone mesh belt conveyor furnace.

The effort included integration of a Microsoft Windows-based PC, 9 Honeywell UDC3000 temperature controllers, 3 Honeywell UDC3000 high limit controllers and 1 Honeywell Gateway 500. The computer communicates with the Honeywell temperature controllers and high limit controllers over the Honeywell DMCS network using the Gateway 500. Microsoft Access was utilized to archive data on an hourly basis, with each record uniquely identified by date and time fields. Additional data records are generated each time a parameter exceeds a pre-defined dead-band.
